How it works

Your archive and your register, in step.

Brolly gives you the flexibility to sync records automatically or hand-pick what belongs in Content Manager.

Selective

You select, we send

Decide which records go to Content Manager directly from your Brolly feed — or turn on automatic syncing and let it run.

Context

Keep full context

The raw text of each post is sent to Content Manager along with media, comments and key metadata, packaged as a PDF.

History

Complete history

When you send a post, Brolly gathers its available past versions and comments so the register holds a comprehensive record.

Ongoing

Automatic tracking

After a post is sent, future updates and comments on it continue to be collected and synced — no re-sending required.

Security

Secure connection

The connector runs inside your network as a Windows service and retrieves record PDFs over an encrypted connection.

Discovery

Better e-discovery

Social records sit alongside the rest of your official records in Content Manager, searchable in the system your records team already uses.

Made for records teams

Content Manager stays the single source of truth.

Your records program already runs through Content Manager. This integration feeds it the social record complete with context (text, media, comments and metadata), so social content is registered, classified and retained the same way as everything else.

Getting started

What you need to switch it on.

1

A Brolly subscription

The integration delivers records from your Brolly archive, so capture needs to be running first.

2

Content Manager 9.x or 10.x

The connector supports Micro Focus Content Manager versions 9.x and 10.x.

3

A hand from IT

Your IT team installs the connector service with network access to the Content Manager Workgroup Server. We walk them through it.

Integration questions

Content Manager + Brolly, explained.

What does the Content Manager integration do?
It sends social media records from your Brolly archive into Micro Focus Content Manager, your EDRMS. Each record arrives as a PDF with the post text, media, comments and key metadata, so the register holds the full picture — not a bare link.
Do I choose what gets sent, or does everything sync?
Both modes are supported. You can select individual records to send from your Brolly feed, or have records synced automatically — whichever fits your records program.
What happens when a sent post changes later?
Once a post has been sent to Content Manager, future updates and comments on that post continue to be collected and synced automatically, so the register stays current without re-sending.
What do we need to run it?
An active Brolly subscription, Content Manager version 9.x or 10.x, and some help from your IT team — the connector runs as a Windows service with network access to the Content Manager Workgroup Server.
Does the integration affect capture?
No. Brolly keeps capturing from the social platforms’ official APIs regardless. The integration is a delivery channel from your archive into Content Manager, not part of the capture path.
