What is Brolly?
Brolly is a social media archiving platform used by government and regulated organizations to automatically capture, preserve, search and export social media records. It captures every post, comment, reply, reaction, edit and deletion from official social media accounts in real time, with the metadata and digital checksums that make those records defensible in public records requests, audits and discovery.
What does Brolly capture?
Brolly captures posts, comments and replies, reactions, edits, deletions, shared images and video, and direct messages where the platform API provides them. Each item is stored with its metadata, timestamps and a digital checksum that preserves chain of custody. Capture happens in near-real time, which matters because a comment from the public, an edit, or a deletion can be part of the record the moment it happens — a weekly snapshot arrives too late.
Brolly connects to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok through each platform's official API. Capture is automatic once an account is connected: no browser extensions, no manual screenshots, no scheduled crawls.
How are records preserved?
Every captured item keeps its context: a comment stays attached to its post, an edit is stored as a new version alongside the original, and a deletion is preserved with the fact of its deletion recorded. Retention schedules apply by account or record class. Digital checksums and audit logs let a records officer show that a record has not been altered since capture — the property that makes an archive defensible rather than just a backup. What screenshots miss (metadata, timestamps, edit history, deletions) is exactly what Brolly preserves.
How do search and export work?
Search runs across every connected account at once, by keyword, account, date range, content type or author, and returns the full conversation, including edits and deletions. Saved searches make recurring requests repeatable. Exports produce a complete, request-ready package as PDF, CSV, HTML or JSON with full metadata and timestamps, in minutes. This is the workflow behind responding to a public records request: search, review the thread in context, export, deliver.

Compliance-driven organizations whose social media is subject to recordkeeping obligations: government (local, state and federal), education, higher education, financial services, healthcare and utilities. What are Archive, Insights and Protect?
Archive is the foundation: the defensible record described above, with monitoring across connected channels part of the core platform. Two add-ons are built on that same archive: Insights, which runs sentiment and theme analysis across years of your own archived record rather than a 30-day window, and Protect, which applies AI moderation to live channels while recording every moderation action in the archive. One record, everything runs on it.
How is Brolly secured?
Brolly is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified and CSA STAR registered, with security controls aligned to NIST SP 800-53. Data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit; access uses MFA and role-based controls; the service carries a 99.95% uptime SLA and undergoes independent penetration testing.
