Social media archiving for government

The ArchiveSocial alternative where nothing is lost.

Brolly is the system of record for social communication. Capture starts day one, your history backfills straight from the source platforms, and the record stays continuous through the switch.

Runs in parallel with your current vendor while you validate — nothing is cancelled until your records officer signs off.

Why agencies re-evaluate

Most agencies don't shop for archiving software. Something changes.

A renewal notice. An acquisition. A records request that took three days longer than it should have. If you're reading this page, something changed.

The renewal conversation changed

If renewal pricing, volume limits or usage uncertainty are becoming part of the conversation, it may be time to compare alternatives. Your record shouldn't have a meter on it.

One product in a broader suite

Since the CivicPlus acquisition, some agencies are reassessing whether a broader civic software suite is still the right home for their social media records.

Records questions deserve specialists

When archiving is one product among many, specialist depth is harder to find. Your records officer's questions shouldn't wait behind a website ticket.

The record just sits there

Archiving-only tools treat records as storage — something you pay for and hope never to open. Nothing is learned from any of it.

A request took too long

When a public records request lands, search and export speed is the whole product. Deadline pressure finds the cracks.

Migration

Switching archives shouldn't mean losing one.

The reason agencies stay with software they've outgrown is sitting in the archive: years of records they cannot risk. So we built migration on the same promise as the platform.

DAY ONE

Capture starts immediately

Brolly runs in parallel with your current vendor from day one. There is no gap in the record — not a day, not a post.

BACKFILL

Your history rebuilds from the source

Brolly re-captures your available history directly from each platform — as far back as you like — so the archive doesn't start at zero.

EXPORT

Keep your complete export

Pull a full export from ArchiveSocial before you cancel. It stays in your records system, producible for the era it covers.

CUTOVER

Validate, then cut over

Run both side by side until your records officer signs off. Only then does the old contract end.

Common questions

Straight answers.

Can Brolly import our existing ArchiveSocial archive?+

No — Brolly doesn't ingest third-party archives today, and your record stays whole without it. History backfills directly from each platform, and your complete ArchiveSocial export remains retained in your records system, producible for the era it covers. Between the two, nothing is lost.

Will there be a gap in our record during the switch?+

No. Brolly begins capturing in parallel before you cancel anything. The record is continuous from the day you start.

Which platforms does Brolly archive?+

Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok, with more in active development. Ask us about your specific channel mix during the demo.

How does Brolly pricing compare to ArchiveSocial?+

You'll get a transparent quote within one business day — with no usage caps on archived volume, so a busy month never costs you extra.

Is government social media really a public record?+

Yes — in all 50 states. Posts, comments, edits and deletions on official accounts are subject to public records laws, which is why capture must be complete, not periodic.

Our contract renews in a few months. When should we talk?+

About 90 days out. That's enough time to run Brolly in parallel, import your history, and validate everything before your renewal decision.

Connect a test account during your demo — we'll backfill its history live and show you complete capture on your own channels before you decide anything.
