Straight answers

Monitoring questions, answered.

How is Monitoring different from Insights?
Monitoring is real-time: live alerts the moment something needs attention. Insights is retrospective: analytics over the archive showing patterns, sentiment and topics over time. Most teams use both.
What can trigger an alert?
Watchlist keywords and phrases, policy-relevant terms, activity on specific accounts, and edit or deletion events — configured per account and delivered to the people who need to act.
Does Monitoring cover comments as well as posts?
Yes. Public comments and replies across connected channels are monitored alongside your own posts — that is usually where issues start.
What is the difference between the All, Your and Public content views?
All content shows everything moving across your connected accounts — posts, comments, replies and messages. Your content narrows the feed to what your organization publishes from official accounts, including pages run by your council members and representatives. Public content shows activity from the community — public comments, replies and reactions from residents, without your organization’s own posts.
Can we tag what we see in the live feed?
Yes. Tags and notes can be applied to records straight from the feed, and they stay with the record in the archive — so what your team spots during a busy period is already organized when the review or request comes later.
Can Monitoring take action automatically?
Monitoring tells you; Protect acts. Pair a watchlist with Protect moderation rules and harmful matches can be hidden in seconds while the alert still reaches your team.
